Meet the Captain
Long before becoming a captain on Lake Tahoe, Annmarie "Captain Snorsky" grew up exploring the rugged waters of the San Juan Islands in Washington State. As the youngest of seven children, life was an adventure from the beginning — darting between island bays with hair flying in the wind, netting herring balls, selling bait to local fishermen, and squeezing aboard the family's shared 11-foot Boston Whaler.
The water was never simply recreation — it was freedom, responsibility, teamwork, and a way of life. Growing up in a large family taught her adaptability, patience, leadership, hard work, and the importance of meaningful time spent together.
Today, Captain Snorsky calls Tahoe City home and brings that same spirit of adventure year-round: wake surfing, wakeboarding instruction, tubing, scenic cruises, ski coaching, and snowmobile guiding throughout the Sierra Nevada.
Her mission: To create unforgettable experiences that help people feel connected, confident, adventurous, and fully present in the outdoors.
